Scholarship Information

In our continuing efforts to educate and provide resources to those within our communities the WMA proudly makes various scholarship and educational opportunities available. For additional information or for a scholarship application, please see below:

Wichita Area Technical College also offers scholarships to their school, so if you are interested in applying to WATC you can go to this web site at WATC/Scholarships and fill out their scholarship forms as well. They offer many more scholarships than WMA, so applying to both is perfectably acceptable. Maybe you'll luck out and get both!

WMA Scholarship Program gives out a record number of scholarships in 2013

The Wichita Manufacturers Association promotes and encourages the general welfare of the manufacturing industry.  The WMA is encouraging students to pursue manufacturing careers by offering scholarships to students planning to study manufacturing at any technical college, community college or state college/university in Wichita. The number of scholarships given out each year is determined by the WMA board and member donations.

The WMA created the scholarship program in 1993 to support the educational and training opportunities that develop better manufacturing interest, methods and employees.  The scholarships are funded by the generosity of WMA members as well as individual and commercial donations. This year WMA provided a record number of 16 scholarships: 2 scholarships from the WMA general fund, 1 scholarship from the WMA member donation fund, 5 scholarships funded by Globe Engineering, 1 scholarship funded by Aerospace Systems and Components, 1 scholarship funded by WorkForce Alliance, 1 scholarshp funded by Superior Tool Service, 1 scholarship funded by Great Plains Ventures and 4 scholarships funded by the WATC Horizon scholarship fund. We had the honor of having Congressman Mike Pompeo speak at our awards ceremony on current manufacturing employment in Kansas.
